Hi! Please block preventively DJPrinceBD701 (talk • contribs • count), already blocked in Commons via the "Bangladesh Facebook Case". Related: Savviras (talk • contribs • count) (fresh blocked by you recently). Thx. --Gunnex (talk) 07:26, 13 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again!
FYI: considering the recent upload log there may a new wave of uploads of videos/films/music files, all most likely related to above "case", considering also this post from today on Facebook (don't know if you can see it), giving complete instruction how to upload. --Gunnex (talk) 16:57, 13 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Sorry Riley, took all the fun ;) ~ Nahid Talk 17:13, 13 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
NahidSultan; you had me so confused! I was just hitting the block button and it was giving me error messages :P. Thanks Nahid! Gunnex, if you use IRC you can also ping me there, thanks for these notes. I'll be having the upload log for test.wikipedia feeding to my IRC channel so hopefully we'll catch these quick. Cheers :) -Riley Huntley (SWMT) 17:15, 13 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Given that the abusefilter is stopping the abuse, and these people don't necessarily know that what they are doing is wrong, what's the point in blocking the accounts? Seems like a make-work project to me. Ajraddatz (talk) 23:33, 13 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Given that the abuse filter isn't stopping all the abuse, and there has been a bug in relation to (perhaps now solved) deleted copyright violations staying cached, I feel these blocks are a safe precaution. Blocking at least opens their eyes to see we have policies, maybe I'm coming about this the wrong way though. -Riley Huntley (SWMT) 09:46, 14 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi + FYI! Considering the new wave of uploads via (which I reported via IRC this morning), Steinsplitter changed filter 160 to a hardblock again. --Gunnex (talk) 08:06, 16 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
